I was told that seeing over the hood of the new vans, at least the Toyota and Pacifica, was difficult when driving from wheelchair. Dealer said there may be a new docking system that would elevate to sit higher.
Someone told me you could custom order a 10” drop. Any comments?...

Fortunately, I was referred to a gentleman familiar with the 2004 Toyota and within 30 minutes he discovered that my only problem was a broken wire in my door. Unfortunately, The mobility dealer I went to couldn’t figure out what was wrong and asked me to make another appointment for a $500 diagnostic...

You know a lot about mechanics. Are you an engineer? That would be a great system. My lift system is whacky sometimes

Broken Doll commented on selaine's reply to Alternating pressure wheelchair cushions Aquila or KalogonWe’ve had the same experience. I was shocked at their customer service. First they give you all this confidence that their $5,000+ cushion will heal your wound while you sit, but they forget to tell you that when they customize it to heal your wound, you are at a high risk to get another. They offered...

You think the opioids cause your pain? Are you taking opioids now for pain or is the pain associated with past use? I had a big surgery awhile back and had opioid meds then.

Dopamine supplementation to relieve abdominal pain
My Integrative Gastroenterologist prescribed a dopamine supplement (Dopaboost) to relieve the chronic abdominal pain I’ve suffered with for years. She believes my system is overstimulated because I take a drug for orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure).
Has anybody any experience...Last edited by Broken Doll; 3 Mar 2023, 5:15 PM.

Amazing that life goes on after spinal cord injury! I agree with you, “life is good! Life is beautiful!“. Spinal cord injury presents a lot of challenges and requires a lot of adaptability, but it doesn’t have to stop one from having an accomplished life.

Penn, did you ever find out what was causing all your pain? Or find solutions to manage it? For years I’ve suffered with abdominal pain, bloating, gas - it messes with my blood pressure as well. And either it’s extremely high because of the pain or in passing out fainting, because it probably pressing...

Broken Doll commented on Noel's reply to Finding parts for an IMS Rampvan 2004 Toyota Sienna ConversionThanks for the advice. Fortunately, I was able to find somebody that works on older vans and he has access to the older parts.

Great post. I love robots, but can be intimidated by them because I’m too lazy t read the manuals to figure out their mapping. I have a dual function sweep/mop. I still haven’t use the mop. I think it would be better to have a separate robot mop. I wish I had the self emptying one though, because...
