Well when all is said and done, I didn't choose any of those. lol

I thought I'd give a higher pressure tire a try. But sense a lot of time when I'm moving around the house, I just push on top/side of the tire with the heal of my hand (easier than getting my hand to open enough to use the...

    Thanks for the reply,

Those NZ prices really suck. Hadn't thought about eBay, that's a good idea. Who are these people using 22" or 21" wheels?? lol

The main question before I buy anything is, do these wheels make a noticeable difference in the ease of pushing...

Well for many years I only aired my tire to 60lbs. It doesn't take long for for the pressure to drop to 40lb. Never had a tire sidewall split.

My guess is that high pressure tires, 100+, would probably loss pressure even faster. Would need air added more often. Is that correct?

    Thanks for the reply,

I certainly agree that a higher air pressure makes pushing easier. A lot of the time I let the pressure get down to @ 40lb before I air my tires back up and there is a noticeable difference. Wish they made a tube that didn't lose air pressure, that's the main reason...

    Thanks for the reply.

Don't know if your a quad or para. but, because of shoulder issues and old age I'm looking for the easiest rolling tire/wheel combo for a quad with minimal hand function. I'm currently using a standard Quickie GPV tire/wheel. They seem fine but it's all I've ever...

I think my next step will be to try tire that are rated for higher pressures. DME Hub has a set rated for 90lbs. Anything over that are all 24"x1". don't think I want 1". I'm a quad and push using the palm of my hand on the tire. Don't think the 1" would work as well, but I've...

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I think it was a waste of $50. Was just trying to get away from airing up my tires every 2 or 3 weeks.

    Wheelchair tire inserts

Just installed a pair of solid inserts in my rear tires. The guy said it would be like 100lb air pressure. I usually have around 60 -70 so I thought they would roll easier. But so far it doesn't feel like it. Chair doesn't seems to glide well on hard surfaces. Anyone else every try the inserts? If...

I don't know if I agree with the pushing it to the hilt. I believe in being active and working hard but pushing it to the hilt has left me injured many time. I've backed off, I'm 67 C5/6 44yrs post and still living independently.

I've avoided the shots for years but the tendonitis,...

    Cortisone shots

I've read several posts from people saying too many cortisone shot for should problems ended up making things worse. I've been getting a shot every 4 months for the last year. This is considered ok by the ortho dr. Is this too many. They sure seem to help for a while....
