Controversial. Silver is a deterrent but not convincing results when used on human’s. CWO

  • each antibiotic is different. As long as report says Sensitive it is ok to prescribe for the organism. The lab knows the breakpoint for each antibiotic and they determine if sensitive, resistant or resistant. I make rounds with infectious disease doctors twice a week. They are the most knowledgeable....

What is your level of injury?
it sounds like you are using suppositories but the bowel program is lengthy with digital stimulation and abdominal massage
you are using a persistent plug for incontinence - how often were you having accidents?

i would also inquire as to your diet...

Sorry. You do not require a referral to a SCI Center; you can self refer, and as you are all ready 100% service connected, your primary care clinic in MT. can also send a referral to Seattle giving them access to your medical records.

Not sure why you told them CareCure referred you...we...

  • You need to see a specialist as KLD mentioned to the vascular specialist?
infectious disease if there is a possibility of another type of infection
or Dermatology if you are allergic to any antibiotics?

When did the urological issues start? is it management of the suprapubic catheter that's the problem? does it get clogged easily? frequent infections?
When did the pain start? is this a long term issue? how is the spinal cord? is the pain related to changes in the spinal cord? recent MRI of spinal...

Another idea is to reach out to the Veterans Program at the Christopher & Dana Reeve Paralysis Center: 800-539-7309

As an honorary life member of PVA, I am very distressed that the PVA has not helped you more. Shame on them.

Glad you are now in touch with the SCI unit in Seattle. I am sorry if you misunderstood about Montana. It is not an inpatient SCI unit. It is an SCI outpatient clinic only. They do not have an inpatient SCI unit there. Seattle should be able to get you in touch with the right people in Montana, as they...

Just to be clear, the NSO is an employee of the National PVA, not of the VA. The ones I have found listed for Seattle/NorthWest PVA chapter are these:
Senior National Service Officer: Michael Killen

Veterans’ Health & Benefits Specialist: Jerrell Briscoe

    They should be...

Willie, you appear to have gotten very bad advice and direction from the VA. This is especially disturbing in that you are already 100% SC for another condition.

Every VA Medical Center is required to have an SCI Outpatient/Support Clinic. As a SCI Veteran, this clinic should be your primary...

Welcome! Are you getting your rehab and sustaining care at a VA SCI Center? It would be helpful to complete your profile and let us know where you are located. Thanks!

Is his care centered out of a Rehab Hospital with Spinal cord injury specialty?
I would have him see a Physiatrist ( a medical doctor who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation) and is a spinal cord specialist.
He may need a pain clinic consult
    Is he having urological...
