Plain honey, whether Manuka honey or not, is not sterile, and should not be used on open wounds. Products like Medihoney (made with Manuka honey) have been prepared for use on open wounds and are sterile. (KLD) -

No, baclofen has little or no effect on the colon or intestinal track muscles, as they are smooth, not striated muscle. The anal sphincter though it striated muscle, as is the external urinary sphincter, so may be effected by baclofen. (KLD) -

Mike- certainly acidic beverages can irritate your bladder- caffeine is a huge culprit, so soda, coffee, tea, hot chocolate can all add to your misery. Food can also impact the pH of your urine. I would strongly encourage you to find out what the sediment is. You ucan acifidify your urine (lower the pH) but before you go that route, I would check with your physician and see what they would encourage you to do to accomplish this.

I would agree with CWO - using lidocaine should decrease the pain and thus, decrease the contractions. Give it a shot - no pun intened.

Do you use Enemeez Plus-it has Benzocaine 20 mgs in it. And lidocaine on peri steen tip and with lidocaine withdig stim? The “ caines” are anesthetic and might reduce the pain. CWOLeave a comment:

Some people swear by the gel, others have the response that rollin64 has. It is certainly worth a try. And the positive is that with applying it to thea area that is bothering you allows for targeted relief.

Do you know what the sediment is made of? It might be helpful to have an analysis of it. In the meantime, have you changed the amount or type of fluids that you are drinking? Your diet? Any change in medications?

I would use Medihoney Ointment and a foam dressing like Allevyn Non Adhesiveon that. Alternatively, you could use a bismuth impregnated dressing like Xeraform covered with a foam dressing on top.
