  • Yea, there are a lot of specifics. Occasionally you find the factory programmers but they cost thousands $. The tech level programmers allow steering, speed and other things, all you need. Getting the correct one for your chair can be challenging. ID-ing the joystick is a good place to start....

  • I found a programmer on Ebay that works on my old Jazzy (yard dog). Look there with patience. Research now for what is needed and methods. Hope that the equipment or software isn't cost prohibitive....

Air. 4" Roho. You can soften and sink into it 2". Just my preference for those steel seat pans....

Mid drive has a very slight tighter turn radius than front drive. The difference is so small, it's not really a factor. You'll need to learn you have a little more tail swing in a front drive verses a mid drive (again, the difference is minimal). I don't know of any car a full size chair weighing...

In 2014, Numotion & my PT/OT told me Medicare has never paid for elevate. I didn't get it then which was a good thing because I got the horrible jerky, rough ride, destroy carpet, & gets stuck in grass M300 (mid wheel drive). In 2019 I got the F3 w/elevate ($1500 out of pocket) because it...

Try Velcro on the seat pan only, none on the cushion. It should grip enough for the cushion to stay in place yet easily removed. Works for me & my Roho's. BTW, industrial Velcro is all I use when it's peel & stick.

  • I went through 2 plywood temp ramps at my 9' wide garage door. I know what you are dealing with. As it deteriorates it gets steeper till it's a big speed bump. Last month I finally had a real concrete ramp poured.

Prior to biting the concrete bullet, I looked into wheelchair ramps....

The aggressive joystick issue is in the programming. I programmed mine myself and it's very easy to navigate tight spaces. Hard to get tech service to dial it in as it may require multiple adjustments and in home testing for a few days after each adjustment.

Other than that, I like ...

  • They might waive copay for you since your deeply involved with Permobil. Just like the free seat elevators. I'd like to hear from others, Who has had copay waived and/or free seat elevator?

Supplemental (to Medicare) insurance will cover copay. The amount it covers equates to free insurance...

Mid drive chairs are called indoor chairs for a reason. Outdoors they get stuck very easy and ride twice as harsh verses mid drive. I've had all 3 drive configurations and found front drive the best for me and my environment.

Permobil is a good chair. Don't expect much from tech support....
