  • Using Span America Geomat for 20 tears, with regular box spring and mattress. Now on a hospital provided alternating air baffle mattress plus the Geomat. Experienced one backside pressure ulcer since SCI. Geomatt not expensive, about $100. I replace it annually.

    Penn, what size catheter are you using? Mine is 26 French. My Urologist started with a 22, went to a 24 and finally the 26. She wanted to go as large as as practical to guard against blockage by providing adequate Urine flow. It is changed monthly. No UTI’s, no blockages.
