I have often driven by the bike shop, called inside, and the owner comes out and pumps them up for free. Nice guy. Fortunately I have more and function than you, badjefft, but with our air compressor I struggled quite a bit before learning to get the nozzle on and off cleanly. -
After 10 years of using the magic bullet I finally heeded SCI nurse's warnings that bisacodyl is an very powerful intervention. I began cutting back and currently cut one 10 mg bullet into 3 pieces, using one per day. This actually works better for me.
