Stretching is one thing you can try to do daily to help. On the forum you can search for post containing keywords to see previous discussions of a topic that interest you. When I searched "spasms" many post are found. To many about bladder spasms. So I changed the search to be "spasms...

The foley catheter was tearing up my Johnson. I think they call it erosion. The pubic cath is not perfect but it works well for me. Now my Johnson is free also. I don't understand the stinky dirty bag issue. My bags last about 2 weeks. One 2000ml bed bag for sleeping uninterrupted. A smaller...

The two I have tried are very flexible. However I never bend them at a right angle. Some of my accidents occur when the catheters get twisted or bent sharply accidently.

Full bowels, positioning, fluid intake, diet can all be factors. I can get minor ad throughout the day but it doesn't usually clog anything or cause problems. Whenever I have an issue the first thing I do is drink more water.

Recently switched to Rusch Gold catheters and very happy so far. This is only my second one because the first lasted 5 weeks before clogging. The previous brand Bard Silastic were only lasting 3 weeks.

Over the counter vitamins usually increase sediment for me. I think they have a lot of additives/preservatives. Which stinks cause I'd like to boost my immune system. Unfortunately I don't cook for myself. Vit C makes me poop so I can't do that either.

How often do you flush or irrigate on a regular basis? I drink between six and eight, 30 oz bottles of water daily. Never let my urine get dark yellow. Have a hard time believing I'm not drinking enough.

    Pubic Catheter change interval?

Last month my supplier ran out of the Bard Silastic (silicon) catheters I have been using since day one. So I accepted a different brand (Rusch Gold) of the same size 16Fr. The Bard Silastic always plugged after 21 days +/- a day or 2. The Rusch has been in for just over 5 weeks. When should I...
