    replied to Smart Drive troubleshooting
My charger light has always been green when I plug it in after using the smart drive all day. I just unplug the cord...the part that connects to the charging unit, and plug it back in and the red light finally shows. It's always worked that way, thought it was a fluke and I was the only one.

I've had several pump replacement surgeries. I just bulk up the padding over the incision, tape it down tight. Haven't had any problems with transfers or bowel program. Just be mindful of it, should be good to go.

We're at the same level and about the same injury date, mid 1980s. So I'm not surprised we're encountering this at the same time. Good vibes to tinng321, for a successful surgery and quick recovery.

ps Not sure what kind of gloves you guys wear, but mine don't have much padding. I'm looking...

If you can bump it up a few hundred, that would be better. Good luck to you.

Mine is the right index finger. As to transferring to and from bed, I make a fist of my remaining fingers on the cushion and let the trigger finger hang over the edge. It's not optimal but it works for now...don't know if that will work with a splint from your surgery. I use my other hand/finger for...

replied to Small sore starting on tail bone area
    in Care
My injury resulted from falling from a cliff on the rocky coast above the beach. On the way down this exact area was scraped open by rocks jutting out from the side of the bluff. For 32 years it would heal, then sometimes I'd bust it open again; this happened once every couple years or so. This last...

I wish good luck your way. Last week I got the corticosteroid shot for my right index finger due to the same problem. It's helping, but it's not back to normal by any means. I've been iffy on transfers. Can't use the finger right now much, any weight is unbearably painful. The surgery has a 90% success...

replied to Ride Custom 2 cushion experience?
I have a new one on order, should arrive soon. I've used a RIDE for a few years, but they use a different material now than five or more years ago. My OT said RIDE's machine that made the old ones broke down and they couldn't find or fabricate parts. So the new material is softer, hope it holds me in...

Hey Jerry, good to see you buddy. I think I did some Googlin yesterday and found the cost to be around $2000. Not cheap, but I read some insurances pay for it. Not sure if Medicare does though, being as new as it is...

replied to Tilite TR3 side guards
Not sure, but you might try adding a spacer washer to each side between your tire and camber tube. To add a half inch or inch between the tire and the side guard. I did that a while back and it worked well. Also make sure the bracket the guard slips into is tight...they loosen up a lot on me. Good ...
