Reading through this, I am SO glad I got the colostomy! Just splice a 10 gallon garbage bag to my colostomy bag and wait!
    Sorry if I'm gloating.

Here's my rig. Been serving me well this way for 15? years. 32oz bag makes for serenity about overfilling. I also carry around a spare "leg bag tubing" which I can plug into the drain and extend it. Handy for pit stops in the car or when I get in a situation where I can't find a good perch...

Vicky-are you saying Mitch the wrecker guy is paralyzed? For 24 years I was the paralyzed foreign car mechanic. It was Phils Foreign Car Service but I wish it was called "the Best Damn Garage in Town" (stolen from a good ole boy, Smokey Yunick)...

Being an audiophile I gave up on all the high end stuff along time ago. The best unit I had was the NAD 320 a true classic. I also dabbled into 7 to 1 systems for video worked out very well. There was the jungle scene in the Forest Gump movie the bullets were flying all over the walls and the ceiling....

  • I wonder if you could get a pair of 2" straps with Velcro and fabricate loops to mount on the WC side rails so they could drop down through them them with a little feature on the ends to keep them from falling through. Then a string across the hanging ends to keep them from swinging into the wheels/spokes...

That looks like a problem I've had. Seems that once I'm in the chair the whole area is in a fold in the skin (that gets longer as I gain mass )
that gets moist and stays moist.
What I've had great success with is this cream which has an effective anti fungal as well as a steroid.

  • When we were building the pond, I got the ZX1, some rope, and a big milk crate lined with window-screen. I would drive up to the upper driveway and shovel about 70lbs of round-stone gravel into it and then pull it down to the hose-bib in the lower area where I'd rinse all the quarry process out of it,...

  • I haven't been posting, but I've been playing with things.
I modified & lengthened the original wiring of the KDX scooter, marrying the original JST multi-plugs to the big sloppy Dupont connectors that the Chinese seem stuck on in such a way that I can swap controllers easily. I mounted a...

    I applaud you, sir!
    Defenitely on the right track.
How about a "wrap around" battery pack with one BMS?
Bring the wiring out of the first pack and give it enough length to "saddle" the ZX1 frame.
Then drive the damn thing about 20 miles,........er..33k. Maybe...

Oddity: yeah, my experience is pretty congruent with yours. When I was rehabbing at Kessler in 95, they had a weekly spinal support group. I'd spent a lot of time in therapy as well as years of sharing at AA meetings. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was dismayed when a bunch of newly paralyzed...

I agree with his. Few years ago I had a similar thing, one eye. Went through several tests and ophthalmologist found what looks like a resolved blood clot on my retina. It resolved in minutes (probably less than, but it seemed forever when i basically went blind in one eye in a pet store). He said that...

When I sanitize my bag (every 4 days/showertime), I put a cup of water and 40cc bleach into the bag through the tubing. I open the drain and squeeze the bag resting on my thigh, until the drain tube is almost overflowing, then connect the inlet tube to the drain tube. This gets almost all the air out...

  • AFAIK all VW/Audi with electric power steering have a certain amount of adjustability using the factory tool or aftermarket like VAG/Com.
(I've been driving GTIs with electric PS 14 years and had the tool at my shop but never played with it)
I would hunch that all or nearly all vehicle w/electric...

You're probably right! My caliper proves that my tube is 1 3/16" so maybe the chair is not a TRA. I thought the "A" denoted aluminum.
Now how about some more help: If my chair is ~2019 and fat aluminum mono-tube design, what model is it? Seriously!

    AND, what model is...

I think it has a wedge type deal similar to the bicycle I had when a kid.
The allen head bolt that resides in the ovoid shoulder at the interface of foot-loop and chair frame, goes down diagonally into the wedge.
Just loosening the allen doesn't really relax it's grip. Back the bolt off...

My reasons are petty, I suppose.
Unless you're going off-road why have an XC? (and if you do, don't go too deep into off road or you'll quickly discover how limited you are)
And the all-road versions of the standard series has the same 4wd system.
    They're "hip" I'm a practical...

I am a strong advocate of Volvo 4wd wagons, and not the ersatz Volvo SUVs, the WAGON that has normal ride height and is a beautiful vehicle.
My wife transitioned from a 240K 01 V70 T5 that served us admirably for 14 years, to a 2019 V90 AWD by way of a disastrous romance with a MB 350R Bluetek...
