I've gotten to do a whole bunch of projects that I have been putting off. After overdosing on FB and the internet, there was nothing sensible to do but to do them, and it has been satisfying!
I finished up two valuable linear tracking turntables to sell that have been living rent free in my head...

wiggle and push? It's what I do. AFAIK it's simply a tapered interface like the end of a catheter and the hose, or a Morse chuck!

    Random thoughts:
    > you should not remove the reflux valve even w/condom cath! The valve prevents pressure in the bag from traveling back to the catheter, and when the bag is pretty full, anything pressing against it will express that pressure to the catheter which has a problem staying adhered...

WTF!! I updated to my post about getting a Segway scooter and using it to drive my chair. I also mentioned FreeWheel.
The system flagged my post and wants moderator approval for it.
What is going on? How could such a benign post be flagged as spam? (post 24, right after this:#23 )

  • The Segway scooter arrived today. I put it together. Had to load a free program and enable BlueTooth which I think enabled it. Now I think it runs with my BT off-at least it turns on and the lights still work.
I can't check to see if drive works now because of a little problem I hadn't anticipated:...

  • I tried sewing once using my left hand for the pedal, my right to pull it though, and my chin to keep the fabric taught, but I sewed my lip.

Too much caster will make the chair want to keep straight. By cater I mean the axis of the caster-stem/pair of vertical bearings.
The axis should be 90* to the ground plane.

  • I basically used VW autostick components in an 88 GTI racecar. A fellow SCCA racer from Oregon (who shortly later died of bladder cancer) did it in a ITB BMW 2002. Ironically, in 1990 (Volvos From Hell, the Tour) I raced his car driven by his race partner at PIR and noticed the rig, asked, and was told...

I'm serious. I spent a lot of time recently paging back through my history (25pgs) trying to bring forward something and couldn't find it. If someone had posted onto that (old) conversation I would really want to know!
Most of the conversations I'm thinking of are regarding fabricating or building,...

  • OK! He's MrSporto or Mr Sporto-don't know about caps.
I called him and he's OK w/giving his info to you............he'll reach out to you.

Another friend had some dumb French? clutch control in his E30 325ix 5spd. It basically sucked IMO. Don't know if that was simplex (Guido Simplex?)...

Please don't unsubscribe me from any of my posts!! I love it when a several year old topic is revisited and I get to check it out. It doesn't happen often, but often it is a treat!

  • Sorry, but the car I built it for is gone, so if someone wants it, $100.
MrSporto had me fab a lift for his chair into his drivers rear door in his Honda van and we sourced that from Harbor F...

  • VERY INTERESTED!!! I've been wanting to duplicate my 05 ZR. Nobody willing to sell me just a frame! I have plenty of other parts from the TRc that broke!!
I need to get some measurements and can commit if this would work for me by this evening/late afternoon. (Plus I can help you with your clutch!)...

  • Contact DrSporto, Ted, who has a 85? Sportomatic as well as spare trans, etc
Otherwise, I expect if you sourced the automatic stick shift Beetle parts (shifter as it lifts out of tunnel simply, vacuum servo, and vacuum controlled valve & (vacuum tank can be easily fabbed), you could make a...

replied to red skin around colostomy stoma

I was going to post the obvious question but let it pass, something I do more and more on the net
I was real worried when my problem developed and thought hard about my options. When I found the wet/red corner, I left the water on despite knowing there was other developing mini-messes under...

Just had a similar problem for the first time since my colostomy 8 years ago. Frightening to consider degradation that could prevent adhering the flange!
One outside corner of the flange area was badly inflamed and wet from lymphatic fluid, so initially I washed it off, leaving the rest of the...

Seven months ago I had my right leg amputated at the knee because we found that healing the wounds on my right ankle were proving impossible!
I wish Had accepted that a few years earlier
It has been a net plus with a learning curve.
