Her concerns are not unreasonable for a doctor meeting you for the first time. Remember, they know nothing about you at all, and are trying to make sure they aren't missing anything that could be really bad. My Dad's feet look frightening after a few minutes...

My father has the same issue. He uses 4L bags. He has never had a problem getting them covered.
