The SCI-Nurses are advanced practice nurses specializing in SCI/D care. They are available to answer questions, provide education, and make suggestions which you should always discuss with your physician/primary health care provider before implementing. Medical diagnosis is not provided, nor do the SCI-Nurses provide nursing or medical care through their responses on the CareCure forums.

Thank God for the nurses. They're the ones who do the hardwork and support us while docs are in there 5 minutes, give an assessment and are gone.

A number of my aunts were nurses and my X was a nurse practitioner.

My mothers family had 9 children and everyone had at least 5 kids. My Aunt Kay, the oldest daughter and nurse practiioner handled the health care for everyone. You caller her if there was trouble and she took care of it, like most nurses everywhere.

Thank goodness for nurses and God bless. Great that my VA nurse has those syringes that the needle retracts back in. She was so happy showing me how they worked. No more inadvertent sticks.

              No Tri's or hand function.

Far better it is to try mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure. Than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much or suffer much, because they live in the grey twilight that knows neither victory or defeat.
