    HeLa cells

ran across this article about a woman's cells that have lived long past her death. the book written about her sounds interesting and raises some questions.

I have been following this story as well!! Two of my daughters married men from Clover VA, where Henrietta Lacks is originally from and buried. I think my Granddaughter is probaly related to her as well. This story is fascinating not only because of the medical advances made from the use of the cells; but also the human interest side. To think that one woman ccntributed so much to medical science and her family didn't even know....wow!!
