          Hi Mike
I have a wheelchair accessible condo with roll in shower located on the beach of Maui. Our website at www.mauiaccessiblecondo.com previews our condo and it also shows accessible activities and disabled support services. Any help you can be in publicizing it would be appreciated. E-mail me at info@mauiaccessiblecondo.com thanx in advance Bruce Bernhardt

            Mexico...

Check this place out, looks awesome. It's made specifically for wc/users. They even offer up personal care if you need it. Wish I'd seen this before we booked our trip for next month. Awesome prices too. One month for the price of 2wks where we're going. I just might check it out when we go, depending how far away it is.

I imagine when you add up the cost of a flight there and food, things will start to look much more expensive. I would think Ciudad del Carmen is a good days drive to get there, and the roads can be a bit of a challenge. We are leaving out of Vancouver on the 8th of December for the Barcelo Maya for two weeks. What date are you leaving on?

                accessible + budget = impossible?

are there any possibilities out there for the low-budget traveller that are accessible???

Yeah, that's true, we're leaving on Dec 17 for the Iberostar Tucan/Quetzel Yeah Baby!

I am loving that resort in the Canary Islands. Do you know if there is an English translation of that website, as I would honestly consider going there this winter, if there are any openings in January.

And summer lasted through October. Vancouver will become even more accessible with Sam in power.

                            Wheelchair backpackers

HEY Mike how did you know i wanted to visit the AZURES? Man do i ever. Wish i had room and i would join the backpackers. I do believe most people confined to chairs would travel more if the cost for lodgeing was cheaper.
Wheelchair backpackers would be a great idea

                              Sweden: Västra Gotaland

                              http://www.schwedenleben.de/Ferienhaus/index.html

If you want peace and quiet, if you like being near lakes and nature, if you like being almost in the middle of nowhere, then this place may interest you. The website is in german, but pictures tell a thousand words. Decent house that´s accesable, costs €400 a week.

One of the many pics available at the site. The bathroom has a roll in shower, the website says the toilet has a 50cm extension and it also has an electric adjustable bed.

Actually, the main attraction in this area is Lake Vättern which is only 10km away. It is Swedens second largest lake, and it´s big for bike tours and fishing and boating...it has multiple harbors scattered all over it´s shores. Fishing is free for tourists, but you must follow the local fishing regulations.
