My friend recently bought a plane, and wants to take my flying. Does anyone currently do this, and how do you get in and out of the plane. He was hoping there is some sort of portable rig out there that he could get, or design. Any suggestions??

So you need to be able to transfer onto the trailing edge of the wing. Be careful of any anti-skid material there...it can take a big chunk out of your skin. If you have access to two people to help get you in/out, esp. if you are tall, they may be able to "quad pivot" you onto the wing and help you scoot to the (open) door.
