Gary: I noticed in one of your early posts about joystick controllers...do you know if this heli can be operated by joystick ??..

            Hey Bob,
the helis require 2 joysticks to be used but with a car .
The cars use 2 channels so 1 joystick will work fine, but with an airplane you need at least 3 channels unless you have a little better radio with mixing that will mix a V tail plane to act as the rudder and elevator and ailerons on one stick. But would need 2 sticks unless you had a sail plane without throttle, then would use a high start to launch.(long rubber band)
Are you limited to use of on hand or can you use both?
Most anything can be done anymore with the new radio equipment out there...
Definatly check with a local club or hobby shop for people in your area they will help you out a lot, most hobby guys will go way out of their way to help a fellow RCer.

Bob, how much funtion do you have in your arms? Something can be made to give you some type of control I am sure..

This is one of my helicopters. It is a Thunder Tiger Mini Titan E325 SE, same class as the Trex 450. I also have 2 TT Raptor 90 SE nitro helis.

                    Nice 450 there TW,
also the 90s are great helis,
I am talking to the local civic center that was just recently finished in our area , (Port Saint Lucie , florida) And trying to get permission to use the basketball court for a few local guys to fly Mini helis and foamies inside with AC and 30 foot ceilings, padded walls and sort of a soft floor in there too..I flew a few batteries yesterday with my CX2, man is that great to fly in such a nice indoor area with AC and night time as well..
The courts are open all day and ussually no one is ever there except on weekends and after school is out so I will be getting to fly during the week when I have time..
Now I want to get one of the little foamies like I posted on an earlier post...

                      Real high-tech...

The innerds... I was thinking of moving to 4S as right now I'm gearing limited (hard to find a 1/8 shaft 48P pinion in the size I need), but since things are known to go airborne above 80mph, I think I'll just keep it as-is and keep it sort-of sane.

Nice! I was thinking of getting one of those along with the Cobra fuselage as I had enough spare electronics around, but I made a Frankenheli instead...

Yep, amazing it's a 250. But they do have some good efficiency compared to a 450, so I can see where he is getting a 6.5 minute flight time hauling everything for the ride. I get 7 minutes on 1300mah (stock is 800mah) on my scaler 250 with a fiberglass fuse, and a 250 will fly (marginally) with 2 2200mah packs strapped to it, but I figure sticking a single 2200mah pack on a 250 should be good for similar times to what he is doing and powering the downlink stuff.

His background RF level must be pretty much nil, flying from the fields like that. I wonder what sort of range I'd get flying in a metropolitan area with a high background level stressing the selectivity of my RX's, hmmm.

Hey Andy check this one out I found on helifreak video forum..This guy is crazy I dont know what type of heli or video equipment he has but he is all over the place with this one..

After looking at a lot of videos, I would like to start with a foam glider like these guys on youtube are doing to save cost and make it easier to fly than a heli with video..I am checking into the prices of a cheap video system, this looks neat as hell..
Here is a link to a tx rc system for 215 bucks all you need is a camera to add to it and they are resonable too.

I havent looked on ebay yet but they might have it even cheaper....
Here is a good general info site on getting started and equipment needed.. http://fpvpilot.com/
