  • nerve pain in feet

Hi, I am 5 1/2 years out from my injury. At about 4 years i started a tingling / numbness feeling in one foot that has progressed to intermediate pain in the foot and tingling extending upwards to the knee. After much investigations, i was told that nothing has changed in my back and it is probably nerve pain. I am up to 2400 mg of gabapentin a day and no help, but drowsiness. has anyone else experienced this and what other solutions are out there. My doctor had mentioned Lyrica as an alternative to gabapentin. My wife wants me to seen a pain specialist, but if the cause is nerve issues and is growing up the leg, not sure what he can offer.
    thanks for your help.

It would help to know your level of SCI and how complete your injury is. (a more complete profile is very helpful)

New neuropathic pain can be due to a syrinx. Have you been evaluated for this?
