I was sent an email about this trial today. May be of interest to some folks here... especially if you are looking for something new to try. It's in Boston, but they pay for travel to get you there.
You may have heard of this before. It is the Translational Pain Research Group at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. For over 15 years, this group has been conducting clinical research studies with the purpose of discovering new drugs to treat chronic pain in spinal cord injury patients. They are actively recruiting for a spinal cord injury pain trial that is evaluating a new treatment for chronic neuropathic pain.
This study would require 4 short inpatient visits to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston MA. They help with arrangements and provide reimbursement for travel expenses for people coming from across the US.
For this study, they are looking for individuals who
Are between the ages of 18 and 65
Are in good physical health
Have had pain for at least 3 months
Have an injury at T5 or below
For information please call 617-525-7246 (PAIN) or email PainTrials@partners.org
