      Fresh Roasted Java

Fresh quality coffee. From my own roasting efforts. I'm just getting ready to roast up another batch of KenyaAA.

Edit: The Kenya AA I roasted before noon yesterday that I'm now giving a few days "outgassing" time before brewing my first cup from it. I could make a very nice cup from it this morning but this particular coffee only really comes into its own after a few days rest post roast and I've got an ample Yemen Mokha double batch I roasted within the past two weeks to brew up while waiting on the Kenya.

Thanks, it is, but most of the credit for that I attribute to Sweet Marias. I roast em and my roasting technique has improved but you can only wind up with a great coffee if the potential was in the beans before you applied the heat.

That's a good site although I'm not an Afficianado to the level of this site; I suspect this is true of most of its visitors.

They offer CoffeeGeek podcasts. Does this guy have an annoying voice? http://cdn.libsyn.com/coffeegeek/cgpodcast_059.mp3

I got a kick out of how the host refered on a few occasions to my Online source of green coffee beans, Sweet Marias. He's (Mark) geeky enough to suggest you store the sucessive yearly crops of coffees of particular interest (say, Yemen Mocha) and, after you've got three or more years stored up, do a multiple chronological brew and cupping test of the batch for comparison. NOT.

The host of this coffee afficianado website is Mark Prince who also does the podcasts. He has a very annoying voice and delivery style and he switches tenses within sentences.

Here's a sample of the worst of his reasoning: he's talking about how the laws allow the labeling "Kona Blend" in blends containing as little as 5% Kona coffee. He detests this law and practice (so do I) but says that he "as a consumer think that they should be all Kona's to carry the label "Kona Blend"). The Kona coffee producing growers (mostly families) in Hawaii are fighting for legislation saying that there must be at least 50% Kona coffee in a Kona Blend offering. Realistically, that makes good sense and would make me and a lot of other gourmet coffee consumers happy. Mark is unrealistic and, well, kinda dumb.

See it you can listen to this guy: http://cdn.libsyn.com/coffeegeek/cgpodcast_057.mp3

BTW, a good coffee, and Kona can be one, makes me real happy; presspot brewed, of course.

You scared me there for a minute, I thought you liked pulling a trailer and going fast.
