    Greatest drummers of all time

Ok, since Leif isn't gonna start a new music thread, I will. Greatest drummers, jazz, rock, whatever, dead or alive, ever

Ok, among the dead there is Buddy Rich and Keith Moon, that,s a given.

Among the living drumming legends, my nomination is this good ole Canadian boy.

I would say Rick Allen from Def Leppard. Its very impressive how he came back after losing his arm in a car accident and over came the odds to play again

Sorry I couldnt find a better video of him playing with one arm

THE best? Hmmmmm. I'm also an anti-wanker when it comes to drums. I love a good drummer that knows when to hold back.

Charlie Watts - cool as a cucumber. A little light on the skins but amazingly versatile. Excellent jazz drummer too.

Max Weinberg - Good call Buck! The best drummer in show biz! Like Charlie Watts, but he brings it every night.

John Bonham - the greatest. He can take the craziest time signature and make it rock the f**k out. Four Sticks is my fav.

Dave Grohl - I'm not a fan of the Foo Fighters, but he made Nirvana what it is. Simple and hard-hitting. The drum sound on In Utero makes me drool. He was great with QOTSA on the album Songs for the Deaf.

has to be Bonham playing Moby Dick or any Zep tune for that matter. Keith Moon 2nd. funny how they both liked to drink and thats what did them in. Zep is doing a show in England with Bonham's kid on the drums. hopefully they will get a world tour together. sweet
                          oh well

                              Vinnie Paul

Shannon Larkin: Godsmack's current drummer, here he is with the lead singer Sully Erna, who could be on this list also. They give homage to a couple other guys who are already on this list

Christopher, I think Kurt Cobain had just a little bit more to do with Nirvana being who they were than Dave Grohl did.
