                          My son graduated high school last night. One of the graduates was already a Lieutenant Colonel. (Dunno how that works, but that's what they said. Some ROTC thing, I guess.) They closed with the class song, Green Day's "Time of your Life". I suddenly flashed back to my big bro's graduation, 1972. Draft numbers were a big deal then, and I don't know why I thought Oh my God, we're sending another generation off to war. I blubbered, like totally melted down, just sobbed.

                          I wish this wasn't happening.
