You know, many of us have felt like our lives have been "ruined" by others, he** mine sure has! I did not think I would be able to smile again but I can and so can you! It is very hard to come to some what of "terms" with the hand we are dealt.
The others have made great comments, I totally agree!
Life is always going to have the "unknowns"!
For me, I am so very greatful for what I DO have even if it is "different" then it use to be. I really don't know life outside of where I am now, I can't remember what is was like to go say scuba diving, I know I loved it and it was beautiful but it is like a distant memory as is when my children where babies, I don't know!
I am so thankful for having the husband I have been given, he is a gift and the light of my life. How can he not be, he is why I am still alive, I know this for a fact!!
I am so very thankful that "HE" has given me what I have and has allowed me to get where I am when it was not possible?? "HE" has his hand in everything, it may seem unfair, granted it is or "unjust" which many times it is! I had people all over the world fasting and praying for my recovery. "HE" knows what the plan is and our eyes where "veiled" when we chose to come here! We "CHOSE" to receive the flesh here. We are here to "learn", grow, live, love, have pain and suffering and at some point die! I don't recall in the job description that "life" was going to be easy, always fun, etc. We where told there would be great difficulties we will face but how we handle the "trials" we face is what counts.
Please do not feel you can not smile or be happy because of someone else. You can and only you have control over that! If you don't allow yoruself to smile or find happiness then, you are allowing "them" to win! Is that what you want? I would hope not! It hearts my heart to hear, I can not smile because...... I wish others could "see" what I have then, I promise you would smile!! You know, one of the neuro surgeons I have been treated by had some patients there when I came in for a follow up. These people, did not have a SCI or anywhere near the suffering I went through. Sitting there hearing them talk it was heartbreaking and they where such bitter souls! I made a promise to myself, my husband and my children, no matter what, I woould never become like that! It is very hard not to go that way, for sure but what do you gain? Anger, no one wants to be around you and in the end you loose again!
I am so thankful for each new day, for the sun shining and feeling the wind blowing and hearing the birds singing and kids screaming and fighting

Yes, life is what YOU make of it and how you look at it. Give yourself some goals and push towards them! Focus your heartache on what you CAN then you will smile again, you can be happy

I just hope and pray that when you pass you will be free of all pain and suffering because my life has had many joys in it but it also has had many many days full of pain , and no matter what I do or take the pain is still there , then when you do pass it causes others to have pain ,why such a cycle ? ??? ;LBUSHComment

To me, life is the preface to eternity. We needed to exist in a world of good and evil to learn and really know what goodness is. We will carry this over into eternity with God, who showed us by example unconditional love by suffering and dying for us. The good news is that EVERYONE will be reconciled to God and will enjoy paradise for eternity. But we must endure the world first.Comment
