    YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATH

    This is pretty neat.

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute .
Work this out as you read ...
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

    1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate
(more than once but less than 10)

    2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

    3. Add 5

    4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator.

    5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1756 ....
    If you haven't, add 1755.

    6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number.

The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

    The next two numbers are
YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

THATS AWESOME. Who knew math could serve such a useful and entertaining purpose? And I thought math was invented sheerly to torture high school students!
Don't think of yourself as an ugly person, just a beautiful monkey.

roshni, how the *@%##!^ did you wind up an allagator? Me, yeah, sure, but you!? (Actually, with the retard question refudged, I was a bear. )

P.S. Bet I get slammed for that "retard" bit.

Step I - Let us say you want to have chocolate x no. of times - (x is a one digit no. other than zero)
            Step II- 2x
            Step III - 2x+5
            Step IV - 50(2x+5)= 100x+250
Step V -add 1756 if you had you b'day this year else add 1755 (because its 2006 and if you have had your b'day this year it should
            100x+250+1756 i.e 100x+2006
if not, then your last b'day was in the previous year which was 2005 so add 1755 to get
            100x+250+1755 i.e 100x+2005 (2005 being the previous year)

Step VI - now if you subtract the year of your birth from this, then you get 100x+(2005-year of birth) or 100x+(2006-year of birth)
            i.e 100x+your age

so naturally it is a three digit no. with x at the hundred's place (i.e the number of times you would like to have the chocolate) and of course the last two digits gives your age...
But there is a catch, this fails for those persons whose age is in three digits i.e 100 years or greater but of course the probability of that would be very very very small....and of course at that age one can't be having chocolates....
.hmmmm...... it was a cute problem...

            cheers...

Yey, I'm 20, not 24, lol. Didn't work for me...the first number worked. Ohh, my bad, haha! But guess what? I feel 44 at times, and 6 at others.

Yea, if you read the explanation in step 5, the numbers were picked to make it work for 2006. Change them to 1769 and 1759 should do it.
