On December 8th, it will be 25 years since John Lennon was murdered.

Sure seems that long, a lifetime ago...just when he was getting off the smack and starting to write and record again.

As the song says, "If there's a rock and roll heaven, you know they have a hell of a band." Lots of the good ones died young.

I've always loved "Imagine" but to see the lyrics spelled out like that after ages that really makes you appreciate just how gorgeous the song really is.

Hmmmm Twenty-five years since I ran into an old boyfriend too. Quiet sad evening when the DJ turned off the turn tables and tuned into the FM station out of Madison and the rest of the night was quiet and Lennon. It snowed that night also.
