    Justice Talking in Philadelphia

The producers of Justice Talking really want a good turn out for this public forum, so if you will be in Philadelphia or the surrounding area and would like to attend the taping of the program, it will be held at the National Constitution Center on Independence Mall at 5th and Arch Streets. The show is a 90-minute debate. 5-minute introcuctory remarks will be followed by a series of questions from the host, Margot Adler and the audience. The show invites people on both sides of the issue to join in the live taping either in person or online. The show will then be edited down to a one hour format and aired at some future date on over 100 NPR stations across the country.

To attend in person please visit: -- tickets are free.

To participate online please visit: and post a statement as your comments may be read on the air on the Justice Talking program.

    Stem Cell Research
Tuesday, January 11, 2005 5:00 PM at The National Constitution Center
Joining her son Ron, former First Lady Nancy Reagan added her voice to the celebrity supporters of stem cell research. While news reports talk of the former first family's support, Michael Reagan reminds the public that he and his father, during his lifetime, were long-time foes of what Michael recently described as "the process of manufacturing human beings" for "junk science." The family divide mirrors the larger public controversy over the use of embryonic stem cells, the government's involvement and whether the practice will yield life-saving cures or misguided life-ending research.

Anyone in Philly thinking about going to this?
