Can you detect kidney and bladder stones with a simple x-ray? Can you find out through bloodwork or urine sample?

A good friend is someone who will come to bail you out of jail. A TRUE friend is the guy sitting next to you behind the same set of bars saying, "boy we sure f*cked up this time huh?"

For some types of stones you can see them on an Xray (those with lots of calcium), but for struvite or oxalic acid stones you may miss them. It is better to combine an Xray with an ultrasound or CT scan which will show these types.

You cannot diagnose stones with a urine or blood test.
