so two of the ppl who knew wise an helped make this site go died and i'm told i (also one of first here) now cannot post my best friend's death here. no wonder many women left.

Your post about a member’s death is more than welcome, it was simply moved by a moderator to the forum where, if you look into it you will see, we have always tried to keep the vast majority of “member death” posts located. Because that forum is not indexed by any search engines, and private condolences and bereavement, etc. remains private for members of this site, not open to the general site browsing public, or anyone just searching the internet.

No one told you you cannot post a death here, but it belongs in the right forum, as I told you.
The exodus of women (and some men) has nothing to do with this, but with a misogynistic member who was banned over 10 years ago.

If you look into where it was moved, you will see that there are several recent similar posts. Being the most private of our forums, that is where we try to put very personal member bereavement type posts. This was nothing personal, I promise. there you go. i was getting nm mag long ago, in contact with barry, then online in late 90s. was on all of those as well as others and kld! i'm not attacking you. i am grieving my best friend since 97 and a friend of wise's, here and in many places. w/o nm chat in 97, i wouldn't have known aforementioned. i dunno and will bow out.Comment

don't accuse me of being disrespectful of my best friend. i want her remembered here in life. you didn't know her, travel w/her, have her at your house, be at hers, talk constantly since 97. you crossed a line by accusing me. and by "you" i'm referring to one person here. we came from nm. we didn't need mods to tell us how much we love and respect each other. we worked, had kids, knew barry, sam, wise etc. we live w/paralysis unlike nurses. i constantly since 86 have had to educate med ppl. i am tired and heartbroken. this used to be a great site, but there were others before it and many since. i really don't come here any more and comments like a mod re respecting my best friend (who said mod never met) are a big reason why. that and allowing a poster to constantly insult women (who is still here under diff name and advertising his company) drove a whole cadre of women away. yes, he's still here.Last edited by cass; 27 Feb 2023, 4:30 AM.Comment
