Well, it is clear that you are a CareCure treasure.
I have had periodic paralysis all my life. I lost my ability to walk in 2011 beginning with a spinal block, which was used for a hip fracture caused by periodic paralysis.

The SCI-Nurses are advanced practice nurses specializing in SCI/D care. They are available to answer questions, provide education, and make suggestions which you should always discuss with your physician/primary health care provider before implementing. Medical diagnosis is not provided, nor do the SCI-Nurses provide nursing or medical care through their responses on the CareCure forums.

Mazel Tov on entering this new phase of life. I hope you find it enjoyable. Like all the others, I thank you for all your help here, and look forward to continuing communications (even if not all about spinal cord injury related issues.)

Congratulations! – I have valued your advice over the years, and for those of us with MS, the fact that your mother also had MS gives it extra credence. Thanks.
