    Life In A Chair

Life in a chair is anything but dull. If this SCI stuff was not so funny, it would be serious. This afternoon I decided my Braun Ramp Van needed a bath so I motored to a nearby drive-through car wash. It was blazing hot, about 100 degrees, the AC was set at 75 and the fan on high. I steered the van close to the kiosk, read the instructions--there were four levels of wash available. With the driver's window down, I stretched to swipe my card in the provided slot. No go I tried again, still not close enough to get my card into the slot. I put the van into reverse as I had to maneuver closer to the kiosk without doing damage to my van. You see, car wash owner placed steel posts to guard the precious money/card grabbing machine. Finally with deft steering control and stretching I inserted my card and made a selection. The machine ordered me to move toward wash bay. Oh yes. I got free tokens for a vacuum that I could not operate--gave them to a young woman who was using the hand operated wand wash. She seemed grateful. By the time I entered the automatic bay I was sweating and out of position in my chair from the gymnastics of choosing and paying for a wash job.

Just another chapter in the ongoing saga of LIFE IN ACHAIR.

    Stay on track,

Mac85: exercise has little to do with how difficult it is to use certain drive up kiosks. It was merely a frustrating event that has a tinge of humor.
