Is a tulip tree the same as a magnolia tree? Those look a lot like my magnolia. I can't wait until it blooms.

Save the center of that crocus. That's where saffron used in cooking comes from. Very expensive.

Yes Tam, they are in the magnolia family. Many varieties of sizes and colors. I agree Danine, it is a cute house. Not mine unfortunatly, but I have always liked it and the Lady that lives there always decorates the front porch to match the season. I wanted it in the picture to show the magnificent size of the tree.

Thank you for this thread, it makes me feel hopeful. We are supposed to have snow tonight or this weekend. For now, it is high winds and rain,

Awesome pictures. My daffodils are being blooming slackers!! There are pretty daffodils all over town, just not in my flower bed for the most part. Maybe my flowers will catch up soon. I would take some pictures from around town, but I keep forgetting to take my camera with me!

Danine, love that pic of the Forsythia (the yellow shrub). Your pictures are so much better than mine. I need to replace my 7 yr old camera. (But, my "scotch" keeps telling me-- why replace something that is still working?? ). Cool and windy here today and tomorrow, but still warming up.Today I noticed most the blossoming trees have lost their blooms and now just new leaves. Lasted not long enough. But, noticed the first of the Iris in bud, and not long till the wisteria will bloom. Spring is still rolling along.
