The one thing I miss the most is the old Perry Como christmas specials. They always did it for me. Reminds me of the childhood times when everyone in my family was together.
Anything worth doing, is worth doing to excess

This one is my newly discovered favourite:

One of my favourites every year:
Roses are red. Tacos are enjoyable. Don't blame immigrants, because you're unemployable.

No one is ever all alone. Christmas has turned into a commercial holiday and in most cases Christ is left out! I like scilent night.

I agree with you, unfortunately. This was posted last year, but is now one of my favorites.

Christmas was always pagan in origin and nature anyway. If you're a Protestant, you'll hate that Christmas is a portmanteau of Christ and Mass.

Being a Medieval/Tudor wonk I go for the really, really old carols.

In Dulci Jubilo – 11th century
Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day – 12th Century
The Holly and the Ivy – really really old, possibly pre-Christian
Lullay Myn Lyking – First attributed to Anne Bolyne, now possibly by Jane Seymour
Adam Lay Ybounden – 12th century

Also those by John Rutter, in particular "What Sweeter Music" (famed from the Volvo Commercial) and David Willocks "In the Deep Midwinter".

What can I say, I'm High Church Anglican. Smells and Bells, high Holy-Moly ;-)
