I definitely have a sharper sense of smell than most people. There use to be a big commercial bakery down the street from where I worked, and at certain times the smell of fresh bread was enough to make me want to drool. Other people I worked with said they didn't notice it! That, at least, was a heavenly smell. I can also smell cigarette smell from a long way, and alcohol too, no matter how many breath mints someone might pop trying to mask the smell.

Being a former smoker for 12 years, I love the smell of cigarette smoke as long as it's not being blown in my face. I'll still sneak a drag once in a while if I'm drinking and there's a cigarette near me, but only one or two before it starts to hurt my legs really bad. I don't think I can handle my house smelling like cigarette smoke anymore though. I'm just too over it to deal with that.

Cali where is the couch he slept on? Maybe the smell is coming from there?

the couch is pretty far away and it's leather, so it wasn't that and plus, i could smell it in my sheets. i didn't even think when i wore that same hoodie i wore in his car to sleep because i was cold. i'm still surprised how long it clung and how strong it smelled. it's gone now, sheets washed. but still, i can't believe how much it bothered me since i never had that much sensitivity to it for that long and such small contact. the hoodie didn't bother me to sleep that night, i didn't even smell the smoke on it!i dunno, but i'm glad it's gone and i know that my nose is a bit tweaked.
