    Awesome news!

Isn't having a bill that you've devoted yourself to make it through the legislative process the most amazing feeling? A big thanks to all who advocated on its behalf -- grassroots activism is so important to the process.

has it really been 5yrs? good grief.

i'm glad, but the excitement has worn off for some reason.

hopefully what the future holds will rekindle that.

        Betheny,

I just found out on facebook thanks to Marylin. Congrats to you all, I know how hard you and W2W have been working along with many others. Well done everyone, well done.

          Congratulations to all!

Betheny, could you post a short synopsis of the act and the practical results it is expected to yield in the near-term? I asked this same question in the L,F & A forum but have not received and answer as yet.

I'm supposed to send you to http://unite2fightparalysis.org/ for that.

Gotta direct traffic somehow! Kate has the link to the lowdown on the homepage, I believe.

Scott-Maybe it was the 60 times it ALMOST passed that wore you out? I feel much the same.

wow, you started pushing for this BEFORE I got hurt. (4 years now).

In that context what a huge amount of time!

Some started way before me, e.g. cheesecake. I started when CR died, basically. I'd been injured long enough then to see the big picture. Takes a few years. 4, in my case.
