    Vacuum Option for Quads?

My function is C6/7, and I use a manual chair. My grip sucks, but I can manage to hold certain things. I was looking at those stick-type vacuums. I have a hardwood floor and plenty of dog hair. I'm looking for some thing that can suck stuff away instead of a broom to push it around, which is why I I'd rather not use one on a regular basis if I don't have to. What about the robotic vacuums like roomba? Do they get close enough to the edge of a room / wall? Thanks for any experience you might share.

We have a Roomba and it picks up dog hair really well and it also gets edges really well. We love it!

I'm a C5/6 and I bought a Dyson V10 this year and no joke its my favorite tool I have. Super high quality. I tried a Shark vacuum before that and was disappointed in the quality plus the handle was too small to get my fist in. You can buy trigger locks on Amazon which are a little finicky but do work. You may have to push it on harder a few times per session.

I typically do not vacuum; however, I use the heck out of some swiffers.

I'm a higher para and I consider myself relatively fit. But those stick vacuums tire me out. Holding it. Moving back and forth and back and forth. It's a lot. Unfortunately I have loose nap carpeting that the robot vacuums like to get stuck on. I rather use a makita vac (still heavy and sucks) for little stuff and wait until my cleaning day for someone else to vacuum for me

Great post. I love robots, but can be intimidated by them because I’m too lazy t read the manuals to figure out their mapping. I have a dual function sweep/mop. I still haven’t use the mop. I think it would be better to have a separate robot mop. I wish I had the self emptying one though, because that is a difficult thing for me to do.
