Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation Launches Superman(TM) Tags with Support from Warner Bros. Entertainment and DC Comics

SPRINGFIELD, N.J., July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation is proud to introduce the Superman Tag - dog tags engraved with the Superman S-Shield and the Foundation's new tagline, "Go Forward." All proceeds benefit the Foundation's research and quality of life programs and continues the vital work of Christopher Reeve.

"Christopher believed that to overcome any adversity, no matter how challenging, you need to Go Forward each day with strength, determination and compassion," said Dana Reeve, chairman, Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation. "This is a wonderful way for people to pay personal tribute to Chris' incredible legacy, while at the same time joining our mission."

During one of Christopher Reeve's last interviews, he told the world to "Go Forward" encouraging all of us to challenge ourselves, and each other to achieve greatness. He conveyed his valiancy to all of us through his passion for his work and how he chose to live his life. Christopher was a hero to many people, yet he always said that it was the ordinary people living with disease and disability who were truly extraordinary. The Superman Tags were inspired by Christopher, and all those everyday heroes that inspired him.

"We are thrilled to support the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation and proudly celebrate his life and his legacy with the launch of the Superman Tags," said Paul Levitz, President & Publisher, DC Comics.

"While dog tags are a very trendy accessory right now, wearing or displaying our Superman Tags is an opportunity for people to help spread awareness of the Foundation's mission -- as well as provide much needed funds to find cures and treatments for paralysis," said Kathy Lewis, president and CEO of CRPF. "We are so appreciative of Warner Bros.' unwavering support of Dana Reeve's vision. Their generosity will support our efforts to grow the Foundation's successful research and quality of life grants programs."

The Superman Tags come as a set of two (2) -- one on a neck chain and one on a clip for belts, purses, keys, or backpacks. They are available online at and sell for $10 a set (plus shipping and handling). All proceeds benefit the Foundation.

You, too, can Go Forward and support the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation by purchasing your Superman Tag today. Already, several celebrities have been spotted wearing the Superman Tag! Visit in the near future to see which celebrities have been tagged!
