    A welcome breakfast surprise

Look what greeted me this morning. Eggs on toast with ham; not only one but two double yolkers. What fortune!😊
We have been buying trays of eggs from the local vegetable shop where previously we bought from the supermarket. These are from open litter raised chooks, not free range but better cared for, unlike that cruel industrial cage production lark.
These eggs are well coloured, have firm shells and are from an egg farm in Tuakau. (J) size jumbos with more than their share of double yolkers- a tray of 18 for NZ$7. Gotta be cheap.

Then again this morning AND another double yoke egg on my evening meal. Ha, terrific! 3 double yolkers in one day.
    No ham though 😟

Hey para, from this current tray of 20 eggs, I have had double yolkers with every one bar one. Incredible! At last count here were 5 left. Time to get another tray. When there is an egg in the house, there is a meal in the house, right?
No more 'Farmer Brown' eggs from the supermarket for me. These are sourced from the local fruit shop that carries them. The egg shells on these eggs are consistently strong, unlike the other commercial eggs that seemingly crush just looking at themπŸ˜‰
Do you run a few chooks para?
