    well I am starting my sourdough starter today wish me luck

    Good luck. Are you making your own, or did you get some "mother" from a friend or family member?

      making my own from on line direction
      I cut the initial amount
      to 1/3 flour and 1/3 water mixed up and covered tomorrow add same amout stir well for 5 day then I should have starter key word should

            Part of feeding the starter is taking some of the old starter out before adding new flour and water. Otherwise you aren't feeding it. You're starving it.
