    Busy tasting cookies

My wife began baking cookies for coffee hour at the UU Fellowship on Sunday. I am responsible for quality control. lol I have to taste one from each batch to make certain they meet the highest standards. One bad cookie and a person's reputation is gone. By tomorrow evening I will have completed testing of 10-12 different kinds. They will range from very basic cookies to the wildly exotic. So far the crunchy peanut butter and coconut macaroons have turned out great

It is a tough job, but I will do anything to help my wife. No need to feel sorry for me. I picked her. lol

    Poor bastard. Tough job.

I'd say, you can do like the wine tasters and just take a bite of each one, cleansing your palette with a nice cool drink of milk before testing the next cookie. You don't want to over stimulate your taste buds with too much crunchy, chewy, nutty, mouth watering sweetness and confound your gustatory obligation....

umm, yea, whatever... ugh, fuck me... I want a cookie!

how does one go about getting a job like that???????
i'm ready for a career change!!!!
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

Pure nepotism. My wife appointed me. It is actually an honorary position without pay other than cookies.

I bet you would love my wife's volcanoes. They are bite-sized cookies that erupt with flavor when they dissolve in your mouth. The bottom is a hard nutty dough about the diameter of a quarter and 2-3 times thicker. She puts a small mound of chopped up candied jalapenos in the center and then covers it with a cone shaped icing of cream cheese, etc.

Wow! Zing and sweet at the same time.

55....it sounds like a tough job. Maybe we should help you out! I like baking cookies too. I tend to tweak recipes to suit me. Like when I make peanut butter or peanut butter chocolate chip. I use a whole jar of peanut butter......then Jim wonders why everyone else's does'nt taste like peanut butter!

Keep up the good work.....might I suggest a nice cup of coffee to go with the next sample......or maybe a nice cold glass of milk!

Can you post the recipe for those Volcanoes? They sound delish.
