new Thai Restaurant opened up

We've talked about how good thai food is and now I can eat some.
Only problem is I don't have a clue what to eat. The menu might as well be Greek.

I make a lot of Indian curry. (A funny thing about making homemade curry from scratch is that you don't use curry powder.) I scanned the menu, but chicken curry is one of my faves. I also make a hardcore multiple-meat curry that is expensive to make, and a half day's work, but well worth it.

Try their "Black Pepper"-- that's what I'd get. It all sounds yummy.

I make mine so hot, but good, that people literally use hand towels to wipe the sweat from their faces as they eat, saying "It's sooo good, but hot, but I can't stop eating!" That's why a chilled cucumber dip is there beside them. (It's the grated ginger root interacting with various peppers that makes them sweat.) ~~Bon appetit

See if they do a cashew chicken, those are usually great at Thai restaurants. Of the 3 main Thai curry flavours (red, yellow, green), I've always preferred the red one.

They don't seem to have what I normally get but from the menu I would order the Pad prik pao
If you're new at all this, you can go with the Thai Fried rice with shrimp. Can never go wrong with that. It's just fried rice with veggies. mmmmm with soy sauce, dang I'm getting hungry.

What... no Pad Thai? Black pepper is my personal fav. Mmmm... Going to have to make a trip to Leo's Thai Food and Dim Sum Place now for some Ma-Po Tofu with Pork!

I always get Chicken Pad Thai and not spicy. If you like long noodles you'll like that.

I just read for lunch this looks real spicy except the stir fry vegetables and oyster sauce or stir fried meat. You also get the great spring roll and soup so it looks like a pretty good price for that meal. My friend took me once to a Thai place and ordered food it was too hot for me to enjoy so be careful with the spices. Have fun.

I actually almost never order it anymore in a restaurant because I make it at home so much and haven't found any lately that's better then what I make (biased statement here obviously).

I love ordering other noodle dishes and stuff I see on other people's plates that looks good

Go with friends, order a few dishes and share! It's a good way to sample and try out new dishes, with less commitment. Don't forget the spring rolls (very light and fresh).
