    Does pregnancy become more dangerous for SCI as we age? Have there been any successful pregnacies for SCI for woman who are older? What complications might there be? Just wondering....

    Not much difference for women with SCI or women who are AB. Your fertility drops after the age of 30, and your risks for both complications for yourself and birth defects for your child increase after age 30. There is no higher risk due to your SCI.

    The SCI-Nurses are advanced practice nurses specializing in SCI/D care. They are available to answer questions, provide education, and make suggestions which you should always discuss with your physician/primary health care provider before implementing. Medical diagnosis is not provided, nor do the SCI-Nurses provide nursing or medical care through their responses on the CareCure forums.
