Have any of you had kids? After SCI? I'm worried I won't be able to have children with my bf being para and can't ejaculate. We are planning on marriage and kids, and I just need to know how things have worked, or haven't worked for you. Please, Please, Please, let me know!

Ashley, a lot of men have fathered kids after sci. There are ways.

The Miami Project has a big sexuality/reproductive clinic I think .... but the short answer is YES, you can get pregnant. There are lots of people on here who have succeeded.

Geno (van damn) also had a child with his wife post SCI, they went through quite alot to get there if I recall correctly. I'm sure he would not me pointing you in his direction. If you get one peek at that daughter of his, you'll know that it can be done - and well!

My wife and I had to go thru alot, but it was well worth it (maybe not moments like now, trying to get a 5 yo and a set of 2 yo twins to go to sleep). Wouldn't trade them for anything, and would do it again if we had the chance.

Yes Ashley, it's possible he could father a child. You say he can't ejaculate, so I'm wondering if he's tried other methods, such as vibratory stimulation (using ferticare or some equivalent)?

It's possible you may have to rely on the aid of a fertility specialist, but as long as the "clinical" aspects of it don't drive you away, I wish you success in the future.

c5-c6 just had twins

i am a 27yr old c5-c6 complete quad and my wife anb i just had twins(3mnths). it is awesome and i am able to do so much more then i thought.......we did invitro fertilization twice and the second time were blessed w/ 2......a boy and a girl......no worries, if you want to be a parent you can(including adoption) good luck ..here's a pic

Adoption is also a wonderful way to go. It worked for us, we have two wonderful kids and wouldnt change a thing.
