Looks like he got his two front teeth just in time for Christmas. Cool... He's a handsome lad.

      Awe....Glittergal

It doesn't take long...I remember when my son was that size,,,
always such fun kissin' their necks and little toes and feet.

Then around the corner so quickly...he was 18 and I wouldn't
even allow his sneakers in the house, let alone perish the
thought of kissing his toes....tho he did request it from time
      to time.

      He's 28 now...but ....

He will always be your baby no matter how big he grows.
Ever need the recipe for play dough (it's extremely soft
salt dough) so they can squish it with their little hands.
And trust me, he won't eat it...lol

I'd love that recipe. He'll need it soon I am sure!

He actually has 5 teeth and is getting 2-3 more. He also has bronchilatis and an ear infection (tomorrow is the last day of antibiotics for the ear and we probably have another week of breathing problems)

You'll be the favorite Mom in the neighborhood one day. And you'll make
your weight in this stuff over time. It pills and dries..it' easy to vaccum
          too.

Supplies oil cloth tablecloth on a low table
Optional cookie cutters (all seasons, hah) and plastic knives
like from KSC really small. little plastic pancake
          turners help. Mini rolling pins.

To one cup flour add 1/3 c salt, 1 tsp. cream of tartar or alum, I prefer
the alum. Stir in warm water til you have a nice solid ball kneaded out on
a little extra flour til you can squish it with very little sticking to your hands.

Make a ball, (when they are bigger ask them what color they want)
then poke a hole with your finger,,,add a drop or two of food coloring,
close it and let them knead on it til the blue/green/pink-red comes thru.

If you cut out a witch put on cookie sheet and bake, using toothpick
to punch a hole at top. When baked, they can paint these and put black
yarn thru the hole for a necklace.

Wonderful for those rainy days inside! ah, the memories I have....

I noticed that after I scrolled down to the lower picture. I wish I could go back and start fresh. I'd do a lot of things differently!

it's a "spice" type thing. I don't think it's necessarily a spice, but you will find it in the spice section. It's used when canning pickles to keep them crispy.

Also, it's neat to grow alum crystals for elementary kids. They see it as "magic" so it was a neat science thing for my students. Plus it turned into an art thing when we repeated the steps and added food coloring.

Cute little guy!! I am proud to see Ward Burton's car in his hands. w00t!!!

ETA: for the teething thing... my little guy wouldn't have anything to do with pacifiers til he started teething. Then he liked the gel filled ones. I would put them in the freezer and he loved chewing on them. I used those and frozen baby washcloths (a little mroe messy but do in a pinch.) I liked the pacifiers better tahn those water filled chew things they sell in stores...the binkies are smaller and go further back in the mouth, so it sooths the back teeth too without shoving this big thing in the kid's already sore mouth.

Hey, Glitter has it already been a year? It seems not long ago we heard about his birth. We, Nick and I, think he is so cute. Can't believe this year has gone by so fast. We are so happy to see he and you together with your hubby are doing good. Have missed chatting with you. Maybe soon we can have y'all visit us. That would really be great. Don't know if you know that Nick already has a three year old girl too. I have posted some of her pics here and at my site. Of course, we think she is beautiful. I would love to have them play together someday too. Hope you send an e or pm us soon. We have to catch up.

                  Missing you,

alum is cream of tartar. It keeps the playdough soft for longer.

Glittlergirl, happy 1st birthday to your little guy! He is going into that fun stage now: walking, talking, getting in trouble (but you probably didn't want to hear that), no there is going to be many more times you will be just sitting back and laughing so hard!!!
And believe me, before you blink you will be planning his second one...
