    Hand device

    Hey all,

I have fairly decent strength and dexterity in my left hand. Very little in my right hand. I can use it to help supplement my left hand in some of the things I need to do, but it's really not very functional at all.

Anyone know anything about these type of devices? They basically open and close your hand. Very often advertise for stroke victims.

Any benefit to this stuff that anyone knows of?
    Thanks a lot,

I wouldn't want to do a BP with one! But it's cheap enough to try out.
It looks like it uses pneumatics to expand the corrugated black tubing over each finger , making them bend/close.
For the relatively cheap price it might be worth playing with.
I wonder why there are shutoff valves for each finger? Closing one would stop flexing that digit but also make it very difficult to move it at all.

Thanks for taking the time to explain some of that. You seem like a very knowledgeable person. Much more so than myself

I might just give it a try for my right hand. Luckily my left hand is the dexterous one and I was born a lefty. So I got lucky there. If you can consider anything about this miserable situation lucky...

Thanks again. I might just try it out and see how it goes.
