    6 Days of Creatine.....

    Been taking 5g. of micronized creatine powder once a day after my workout for about a week now. http://www.optimumnutrition.com/prod...der-p-234.html
    I am not loading up on 25g/day like some might. Just doing the 5g/day. The stuff definitely smells like a nasty chemical if you sniff the container but has no taste at all when mixed in water.
    I don't notice any significant increase in size or strength in my arms and shoulders just yet.
    Creatine definitely gives me some gas and gurgling in my GI tract but not an upset stomach, no bloating, no shits. I've been pissing more often and in larger quantities I assume because I'm drinking more fluids trying to saturate my muscles with the creatine.
    I mix a rounded teaspoon of creatine in 16oz of water, stir it up for about a minute and chug it down. It's not unpleasant whatsoever and there is no taste. I then drink another glass of cranberry juice, grape juice or protein shake. Conventional wisdom says to enhance creatine uptake, insulin release should be encouraged. Insulin kind of pumps creatine into the muscles. But they also say you can take your creatine with your protein shake and get the same result.
    Anyway, no runs, no drips, no errors so far. But no results either,lol. I really don't expect any visable changes for a couple more weeks. Doing 5g/day, it should take about a month to get my body saturated with creatine....then we'll see if it's worth it.

    Well, if you like to have your shit slide out like a disgruntled Jet Blue employee.....then creatine is for you. Lots of gurgling, farting and rather soft stool expelled on a timely basis. Still taking it for now.

      r u taking creatine for what exact purpose?
      creatine is for energy.. i used to take creatine monohydrate pills.. it felt like i could work out for an extra hour.. a little buzz

          without doing the loading phase, u wont see the results to quik......creatine does 2 main things, yes it will give u more size, because it makes you retain water....yes u pee more cause u have too drink more ...there are no lasting results, except= creatine give ur muscles endurance to do a longer/ harder workout.. which will in turn give u the lasting results.....so if u use it wisely- step up your training while on it, it will help u ........pre sci i used it on/off for years....i had/have a low bodyfat, so i was ripped while on it,and trained very hard.....

            Since creatine draws fluid into the cells of muscles I thought maybe it would be helpful to me. After sitting on my flaccid ass with a SCI for 33 years my ischial tuberosities are about as thick as a slice of prosciutto. I'll be interested to see if I can gain any "bulk in da butt." Plus I could use a little more strength in my upper extremities (if it even works on arm muscles).

                          Same thing happens to me. Even as an ab I couldn't handle it. I've tried cee(creatine ethyl ester) several times over the years but honestly can't tell a difference. The best thing you can do for steady gains is to eat healthy and focus on pre/post work out nutrition. Supps have a purpose but are maybe 5% of the entire picture. These are my top supps

                          1. good protein
                          2. good multivitamin
                          3. pre work out stim
                          4. joint complex(glucosamine, chondroiton, msm, and cissus)
                          5. fish oil 10-15g a day

                              I hate to interrupt a good fight but.....I'm done with the creatine as of today. I took 5g/day for 10 days and my shit gradually became too loose for my liking. Today my stooling session was akin to a soft-serve ice cream machine that wouldn't shut off, a Pakistani mudslide, an endless stream of pudding. My stomach was gurgling a lot the past few days, I had become very gassy, I was pissing all the time and I had a bit more spasticity because of a fuller bowel and bladder. All things considered, for me it just wasn't worth it. I didn't take it long enough to see any positive physical results.......I only experienced the negative side effects. Now.....back to the fight!
