    EMS can do a body good

    my abs are coming back. slowly, but they are, right below the diaphragm to around the belly button. i do the e-stim once a day for 45 minutes with a pulse setting and my stomach actually resists poking to an extent, so that's pretty cool.

    Doctors lie about the 18 month recovery limit.

      I haven't had my ems since I was robbed. It is disgusting how much I have lost because of this. It's been almost 2 months.


      Congrats on the recovery!!!!! (Sorry for the downer.)

        i read about that, addiesue, i'm sorry that happened to you. if it were me i'd be so paranoid, especially because i live where trees will probably be the only ones to hear me scream.

        i didn't do my abs today because i got, erm, sick. i'll do it tomorrow since i feel good.

          Cali, can u post how long before u saw results, what ems u r using, what setting (pulse rate, etc) n what injury level n post time u have?

          Oh! and electrode size/placement

          If its too personal., would u mind PM me about it?

            i used it for a while and it did nothing so i stopped. then i got the tight feeling on my own and started using the EMS unit. it's an empi brand, the pulse setting is 1, 2 can get more aggressive but i don't always use it because those quick intense moments even though they don't last long give me some AD.

            i've been using it for a week and noticed it felt tighter and actually resisted when i pressed on them, but it could have been mild spasms too, i'm not sure because the EMS unit does kick up some spasms after you use it.

            i'm c6-7 inc. and function as a c8-t3 inc.

            the electrode placement is below the rib cage just above the belly button. i use one on each side and they're the little square ones but i think i need to move to the longer rectangular ones because i've been getting tiny little blisters sometimes from the stim being too high. i think the pads are just concentrating the electricity too much. you basically judge where you would have muscle or where your muscles are starting to start back up. there's no perfect placement.

                    i've been doing the same thing. i've been getting those lttle blisters too. i can tell a tiny bit of tone but no return...yet. i'll keep going though, it can't hurt.
