That's a great picture, Arndog. Sounds like it was a really nice day of paddling for you.

        Hi guys
About a week ago went for a ride, and on the way back down the hill, could not get my breathing right. Felt like there I had something in my lungs. By the time I got back to the highway, my whole body had gone hypoxic, and I was about to pass out. Slid off my bike and laid on the road for 20 minutes until it went away. Later the next day, I came down with the flu. I was sicker they have been in years. Today, 8 days later, went for a ride and felt almost like days of old. What a relief.
Moral of the story, stay home if you think you might have the flu.

Have been enjoying the nice posts and photos

30 minutes cardio again on my handcycle trainer speed anywhere from 25-30 mph got about 14.5K in got a pretty good sweat on and my heart rate was pretty high up too. But i am still not done today tonight i do some work with my ab belt trying to get my abs to do some extra work (have not used the ab belt in a while, my philosophy is to get my abs muscles to work whatever it takes! if it works and i see a difference we will see). Trying to take a different approach this time for my fitness and weight goals (hope it works). Since my diet is pretty much in check i try as active as i possibly can cardio, therapy bands, muscle stimulation etc trying to work my muscles as much and as hard as i can without overdoing it thats what my therapist suggested to me i should try. Hope i can keep it for a good period of time. Sipping on my isotonic drink now and dealing with paper work.
As of right now i can't complain too much

Hi all, Happy New Year! Thanks for all the posts and photos. It's great to read about you're up to. Flying, good advice on the flu. People are dropping like bowling pins around here and down for days. A friend has had her daughter into the ER several times this week. Poor kid.

I walked the treadmill for an hour this evening, mostly at 1.7 mph. Back in the day, I would have snorted at that pace but when you've worked up from .5 mph, it seems like warp speed! I'm having less knee pain since I've been ramping up the yoga. Flexibility is good, too. Just trying to ride out the winter here until I can get outside again. At least, I'll be fit when that happens.

Keep your faces to the sun!

@vjls Hey man great job getting going. Sounds like you have the right mind set.

Steve, what a cool looking kayak. looks like a great fishing platform, and a fun boat to play on.

The most popular Ab Belt is this one http://www.slendertone.com/en-us/toning-for-men.html
I am not a quad so i can't say you have to try it for yourself. I use one because i can't do exercises like sit ups or crunches (L4/L5 Spina Bifida).
