the kuschall frames come in carbon - or at least my ill advised champion could have, but i optioned against, because based on all i did to my previous chair, i didnt think it a good idea.
I am a 3/4" fan too, my Terminator Ti is all made out of it. Don't like the Lasher either.

K├╝schall don't have CF frames, the only parts that you can get made of CF is the camber bar and the side guards if I remember well.

Mg and Al are the same in that respect, infact Ti does to i beleive. Okay, they don't shatter, it's more of a catastrophic failure..... They don't bend, they just break basically

Wow...always love to hear people's likes n dislikes!

I prefer the thicker tubing, which was one reason for the ZRA choice. On top of that, I am going to be wrapping from just under the seat upholstery, around the bend, and down a ways with some overwrap or overgrip tennis raquet stuff. Thin, not sticky on the outside (if you dont want), bunch of colors to choose from, thin, and since I do not like the unpolished look of titanium, it will hide it while giving me some good gripping area. My A4 has this foam/neoprene wrap at the bend/joint area, and I have gotten used to the grippable curve for transfers and stuff. Got my purple Mako HR tires today, so I need to pick a color for the overwrap.... Meanwhile, I will just sit here jealous of the other new chair threads and wait...and wait...

Speaking from my own experience, you shouldn't have to wait much longer.

How long does it usually take for a ZR then?

Are you reading something into that comment? Order was placed by Jimbo at SportAid on 7/18 and a box arrived at my door here in the metro Cleveland area today. Maybe I'll open it tomorrow and find out what it is.

Well...my ZRA order was placed with my local DME, and then paid for by my Dad back on July 19. Chair was supposed to be done on Aug 10, but the wheels are special order from Spinergy, and projected date was "ten days more than the chair." I won't bore you with a long boo-hoo "I'm an idiot" story on why...let's just say I will NEVER go local for something I place value on... Should have followed MY instinct and gone with Sportaid like I had planned. Ooops...

my SpazzG weighs 22.0 lbs with cushion and all parts
My cushion weighs 3.4 pounds of that and his cusion is probably half that(sport? vs countour), plus I use normal rims and John uses Spinnergies. His casters are a lighter design and smaller. I have about 3x3 inches X 2 axle plates that he doesn't have(I sit higher) He uses smaller, lighter caster wheels.
I have a fine layer of paint that he does not have.
Since our chairs are identical pretty much, otherwise, I daresay his is lighter by the above amounts.
The ONLY thing his has that I don't is D's locks, which per another poster only adds 1 lb.
So you should get a pretty good idea from that. I don't know what spinnergies weigh, but if they weren't overall 5 lbs lighter, why spend the BIG BUCKS?
I'm gonna say 5 lbs lighter than me, cause I bet the spinnergies don't make that big of a difference.

Mine was weighed by holding it while standing on a scale, close to the body, folded, for accuracy adding the cushion weight. The scale is presumed to be accurate to one decimal place, it weighed 21.8 with it unfolded and held out.

Cap'n, you have got to try them--both pushing and loading them into a vehicle. They are also incredibly durable and should outlast the chair. The reason I pulled the trigger getting my chair when I did was the $299 Spox upgrade from SportAid.

Done tinkering on it tonight. Pics tomorrow or Monday.
