    D's locks

Damn I love this site. Reading another thread I saw something that looks perfect for me. My brakes right now have 6" extensions so I can reach them with ease and so i can get my hand around it, but there huge and kinda difficult. I'll get some pics to post in a sec. What's the word about these D's locks? Good, bad, easy, difficult, worth it? The site didn't post a price, anyone know the cost?

We use them a lot. As I remember, they run about $400, but it varies according to the wheels you have on your chair.

Thanks for the link...unfortunately, their brochure just says "lightweight" and we all know how broad of a term that can be...

          So...for those who use them...

how much do they weigh? Also, can you lock each side independantly? I often only lock one side of my wheels...

I have them on my chair ever since I've been using it, over four years. They are great. They weigh about a pound, maybe pound and a half. And yes you can lock only one side if you want to. They are almost maintenance free. Every once in a while I need to realign them and tighten them again, but I'm talking about maybe once a year if that.

Love my d's locks! Very light weight. The lock is very secure, and Steve (the owner) is very helpful.

                    No. The whole thing.
It's too late to get pics now, but I'll get some tomorrow.

Cool Look like a less frustrating option to forever mal-adjusted breaks...What's the approx cost? do they have diff mounts for diff chairs or wheels? I know, I'm asking a ton of questions, thanks for answering...

When I got mine it was around $400. This was 4 years ago. They do make different mounts for different chairs and wheels, so I think that price would vary. If you change your wheels around you have to get extra wheel mounts for all your wheels.
I am thinking of getting the new Spinergy LX wheels, so I'm gonna have to get the mounts for them. But first I'm gonna try to see if I can go with no brakes
