  • The Care Cure Equipment Reference Guide

I already bugged Shaun via PM but
I wanted to ask the ENTIRE CARE CURE COMMUNITY......

If we could pull together and sticky a section
of permanent helpful topics/references we ALL need
    within the Equipment section.
Maybe information is already back there somewhere?

    Example-

Tire Comparisons- Airless vs Solid-which brands?
Wheelchair measurements- Which back angle do I pick? What the hell is camber?
Wheelchair Reviews- What is really good for in/outdoors?
    Which manufacturer?

I know this is huge undertaking, but lets face it, this type of info
NEVER goes out of style. What do you think?

And the truth shall set you free.

I wonder if there is a way to cut and paste the info on the boards that already has this info to get it started.

I think it would be very helpful, but then what would we talk about in this section? Van Damn's examples fuel about 80% of this board!

There's a ton of info over at wheelchairjunkie.com,
I think that a guide to wheelchair basics would be valuable, especially when it comes to getting a chair that fits not only the user, but the expectations of the user.

Individual reviews could help all of us when looking at new equipment, look at all of the info that came out in the recent “outdoor chair” thread. I had no idea that there were such things as the frontier X-5 or an i-bot. . I’d never bought this jet (even though I got it cheap) if I’d had some good info on it.

Maybe we could even get the manufacturers involved…

Joe when I have the time, I'll try and put up some sticky's, good idea.

In the meantime, there is always the search function which a lot of people are not even aware of existing, I'll post a sticky right now to inform people to make use of the search function when researching a specific topic or certain types of equipment.

                respond to not only the
                challenges you're dealt but
                the challenges you seek...If
                you have no goals, no
                mountains to climb, your

                  Wouldn't it be great!?!?

We could create something so good and useful
that just as many people would come for the equipment info as
                  they do research!!!

IF WE BUILD IT THEY WILL COME!
